tips from an IBS Patient
I personally have been diagnosed with IBS as of a year or so ago. The best thing to do if you have worries is to schedule an appointment with your doctor. From there you can see if you have, how severe it is, and what you can do to prevent it from weighing you down. For me, my gastrointestinal doctor recommended that I visit a doctor at AI Dupont Hospital for children who met with me every week for about a month. I gained valuable knowledge from those meetings, things like breathing techniques-breathing through your stomach, visualization techniques, and answers to some of my questions. Along with a prescription to take for cramping, so like I said, it is crucial to meet with your doctor and find the best way to handle it.
My advice for people with IBS ; don’t stress over life, do what makes you happy, and be yourself. Find things that you enjoy doing, stay fit and active, and remember to just breathe.
