Things to consider after your melanoma diagnosis (from a melanoma survivor)
Work with your dermatologist to determine the frequency of skin checks you will need moving forward.
You may be sore for quite some time depending on the details of your surgery.
It is important to invest in SPF clothing.
Understand the risk factors for your direct bloodline.
Wear sunscreen daily, year ‘round.
Wear SPF 50 wide-rimmed hats.
Buy a pair of UVA sunglasses.
Limit your sun exposure from 10am-4pm.
